A little more of the story.

I write for the moments that don’t usually make it into books — the quiet ones. A sister tucking a paper star into her sibling’s pocket. A first night away from home. Small, tender things that end up mattering the most.

Paper Stars started as bedtime stories for my own daughter, Anika. Somewhere between the telling and the retelling, they turned into something I wanted to put on paper for other families, too.

When I’m not writing, I’m usually reading — I just finished Yuval Noah Harari’s Sapiens trilogy and haven’t stopped thinking about it. Some of that curiosity has spilled over into video: I make stories with Anika, and I’ve also been teaching myself AI-assisted video production and direction, most recently on a documentary-style project about the origins of Homo sapiens.

By day, I’m an Embedded Software Engineer at Ciena, where I’ve spent the last 12+ years building networking software. I’m also a Certified Parenting Coach. Those two things ground me, but they’re not really what this site is about — this one’s about the stories.
